Welcome to "Adventures in Lead", a blog dedicated to the hobby of miniature wargaming. The figures and terrain on this site are mainly for a campaign set in exotic "Indostan", a distant land bearing remarkable similarities to 18th century India during the Seven Years War. Bits and pieces from other projects may pop up here as well from time to time, including colonials, gladiators, pirates, dinosaur-hunting and even some RPG'ing.
The actual campaign journal and after action reports for the Indostan campaign can be found on their own blog - "Indostan: The Jewel in the Crown", the link to which is found by clicking the small image below-left.

Gangs of Rome - Latrine

In-between working on my next proper buildings for Gangs of Rome I have made a quick scratchbuild of  something I was hoping to fit onto the table somewhere - a latrine or foricae. It should fill a small vacant space on my planned GoR table nicely.

It is basically a simple foamcore box with a mdf base following the dimensions and style of my other Sarissa buildings. I designed the foricae, tub and tersorium (sponge on a stick) in 3D Builder and printed them out. I wanted the finish to be appropriately grotty, as any public toilet should be.

Even though they change out the tersorium weekly, could the latrine's proximity to the Blue Cock be the cause of the popina's salmonella problems?

  1. Great piece of work - you don't often see a latrine on a wargames table!
