Welcome to "Adventures in Lead", a blog dedicated to the hobby of miniature wargaming. The figures and terrain on this site are mainly for a campaign set in exotic "Indostan", a distant land bearing remarkable similarities to 18th century India during the Seven Years War. Bits and pieces from other projects may pop up here as well from time to time, including colonials, gladiators, pirates, dinosaur-hunting and even some RPG'ing.
The actual campaign journal and after action reports for the Indostan campaign can be found on their own blog - "Indostan: The Jewel in the Crown", the link to which is found by clicking the small image below-left.

The Minotaur, Taurus Maximus

In the earliest renditions of Blood on the Sands, fantasy always played a large part in the game and as the basic rules edge closer to completion, I can't help but think back to those days. I have again started toying with the idea of bringing BotS into the realm of fantasy again, but it will always remain primarily a "historical" set of rules.
To help test out some of the special rules that would be required, I have roped in a new, willing and bloodthirsty assistant. At a recent local convention I acquired a Reaper minotaur, a figure I have always coveted for just such a purpose and inspired by the find, even found the time to paint him up. I present to you "Taurus Maximus". (Click the images to enlarge)

  1. Great looking Minotaur! I have that model - still unpainted. Looking at your work makes me want to finally put some paint on him. Best, Dean
